I doubt it. Did you noticed they lowered the MPG rating for the MY'14 335 F30? My bet, there is some type of change to the N55. Even in the MT video review of the 435 by Carlos L he noted the car seems to pull more up top than previous N55's... just a thought.

I know i can't use the same software as the F80 but the engines are roughly similar... It would intresse me if the E9x PPK gets a power bump aswel...

I still don't understand what you are asking. The F80 is the platform code for the new M3 sedan, no? How does the software for that car relate in any way to the N55 platform? I am confused.

Ok, still confused because the f30 PPK has the same "official" figures as the e90 PPK. Namely, increase to 320bhp and 317 lb-ft with manual and 332 lb-ft with automatic. What is this more powerful factory tune you are referring to?

BMW recently announced the 2014 N55 PPK will have a small power increase.

But you get 35 hp, 50nm and a warrenty from the factory... That isn't actually a bad deal is it?

Hmmm, didn't know that the 2014 version will have more power. I think it is more likely that they are now just advertising the actual numbers of what a PPK enhanced N55 puts out--335-340bhp. We will see if the 2014 cars are stronger on a dyno. My money says there is no actual increase.
This probably stems from 2 things: one, BMW realizes that they are losing millions of dollars every year by allowing its customers to buy aftermarket tunes without offering a competitive product. Two, with the upcoming M3/4 being pushed into the 450bhp range with 400+ lb-ft to go with it allows tham a little more room to push the 335 platform up the performance ladder a bit. |

Anyone have a link to the source of this info on a power increase? I searched and came up with nothing except the discontinuation of the PPK for the F30 for several months while an engine update is carried out.

And details on the new PPK part number - http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=866096 It has a new PN, which means there is a change in the software. They still list the old PN's for older cars. There has been a change to the N55, just wonder what it is.

No no, the 2014 335 dropped to 32 highway MPG. Down from 33 for the 2013.

Running AP on N55 motors
Hetzle - How has your 2011 performed with all of those mods? Any issues you've had? (i.e. - misfiring or anything else). Also - do you run the stock charge pipe? What AP setting do you normally run? I'm contemplating doing it to my 2011 N55 335i-xdrive 2dr....wanted to get some perspective before I start messing - just ran out of warranty
