Brakes!

First time putting in new brake pads, feeling kind of nervous, just curious where does everyone get their brake products from and any advice for a novice?

Do you think these are reliable for the sensors?

I'll second that! Never buy brakes from ebay - been there done that and will never do it again. With things as important as brakes, you definitely need to know what you're buying.

Ebay is full of fake shit. Cotswold BMW do a good price on genuine BMW disks and pads. I've got a set coming for my car today. After pricing a few places online they were the same price for the proper BMW parts.

I've got the pads, Just need to get the sensors now. Can I just remove the top guide pin and open the caliper like a clamshell and replace the pads like that instead of taking the whole caliper off?

Pagid have had some indifferent reviews in the past but I've just done all 4 wheels discs and pads with them and so far they are very good indeed. The discs are coated and are holding up very well. Braking is also very good.

The sensors were fine and reset perfectly. Definitely recommend them.

Brake pads are very easy. Have a G clamp ready to wind back the calliper piston. Also, get the BMW brake pad paste.
