Missed gear
That horrible noise when your in a rush and think you are in gear but infact are grinding the clutch to pieces.
This is the first time i have done this since owning the car. I always cringe when i do this and get really paranoid that i am wrecking the car. Have i done any damage do you think? Thanks |

Drive normally but don't thrash it that's all... As for how long to warm up? Petrol cars tend to warm up quicker and I'd say 5 mins should be ok normal driving.
I think you mean no temp guage? |

if you have a 325i and you want to know when its up to temp.. do what I do... pull up the oil level meter on the dash/i-drive. It wont tell you the oil level till the car is warmed up and good to go. At that point, drive it how nature intended.
Ive also caught my 325i a bit funny on the gears now and then. I blamed it on the fact that theres way too much clutch pedal travel, and trying to judge where the bite started. I bought myself a clutch stop off ebay for £10 inc postage, put it on with two shims, and now my bite point is much much lower. Means I change gear much more smoothly now. |

I't drives me mental when i fluff up the gear changes. I like to change gear smoothly. I'm forever messing about with the seat positions. I seem to change gear abit to early aswell. Normally change to 2nd at 2.5k and the same with 3rd. I don't think im driving it hard enough lol I like the sound of this clutch stop, think i'll give it a go. Are they easy to fit? |

yeah... to say it took me 20 seconds to fit, would be exagerating!!
i got one from this guy: http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/bmwstopper...id=p4340.l2559 I just had to ask him to send me an E90 one, as he doesnt have them on ebay just now. on the E90 325i, you just look up behind the clutch pedal and you'll see plain as day the old factory black stopper. Just pull that out, push this one in, and bobs your uncle. You may need to experiment with the number of shims you use. Mine came with 4, and with all 4 in, you can't start the car. I tried 3 and i could occasionally start the car. At 2, it felt spot on. |

it really meant i could get a lot more comfortable. I always found that in order to get close enough to the pedals to be able to push the clutch all the way in, it meant i was too close to the accelerator and brake, and got a sore ankle.
Now i'm able to sit an inch or two further back, and its much nicer. |

Don't worry, I thrash shit out of mine, crunched the odd gear change.
143000 on the clock and going strong. Anyone want to buy a BMW 325i, one careful lady owner?
