That's because their machines are difference. The guys that does the job in an hour has the newer machines where they just raise the wheel in the air with a jack, put the machine under the wheel to keep it spinning at a constant speed. The Vegas guys' machine just happen to require to take the wheel off the car.

I went to another person in SoCal on my previous car, and he charged $100 per wheel, regardless of how big or small the damage was. It's the same process. They smooth out the whole wheel by sanding it down while the wheel is moving at a constant speed. He then color matches the wheel on site using the same paint that you would actually paint a car with. Then he adds clear coat with catalyst to make sure it lasts.

Son just repaired the rims on my car and I have to say that I am very impressed. Whole process took around half hour or so and rates were very reasonable. I would post after pics (I didnt get the chance to take before pics), but the pics would look exactly like brand new rims, so theres not really a point. Hopefully I will never curb my rims, but if anything does happen, Im definitely going back to him.

Thanks for the pics. I was really hesistant and a bit skeptical before you posted your pics since my curb rash was pretty bad, but those pics made me a believer.

This guy is probably getting by all the business alot of money haha well in a day or well a week at least lol lets say he fixes 2 wheels a day and charges say 200 or maybe less but if he fixed a wheel every day would be 73,000$ and also he is working for celebrities and probably does more a day and probably also likes his job. Who wouldn't want a job making rims look amazing after they are scratched or dirty, I know I do ( little OCD when comes to rims) but wish I lived in SoCal
