The only thing holding me back on pulling the trigger on the vanguard is that I also think it may be too loud around town...Does it sound loud in the cabin as well?

i have OEM DP's on the E92 with vanguard and mine is about 50% quieter than OP's.....has the same tone though

OP: if you bought yoru vanguard brand new it will sound obnoxiously loud for the first few days. after that it gets much more subdued and reasonable sounding

Sounds deep and throaty...I think with everything the same a H-pipe compared to xpipe makes it much louder...

depends how you define acceptable. its a bit loud with some drove around 2k rpm but after that is sounds better
i think you would have to hear it in person before making up your mind.

yes, got it new. i thought after the exhaust "brake-in" period it would get louder
