I like your winter setup.. I just bought the standard BMW 335i Style#159.. they are going on Dec 6th and I am not looking forward to that day

Awesome I have the same car in convertible. You need to tell me how much of a difference you noticed with the JB4 and what you did. Which model did you pick up. You have about the same mods I want to go with. Where did you notice the biggest improvement?

Nissan 350Z used to have the same problem. It was window motor grease on the inside rubber that supported the window. I've noticed it on mine too. Usually only a small spot just at the bottom - and some diagonal lines on the rear panels too. For me, it only shows up a day or two after I wash the car and/or when it's been raining.

On the Z, the dealership had to remove the door panels and wipe down the mechanism with alcohol to get rid of it. They actually put out a service recall for it.

I asked the BMW service department about it when I was in topping off my oil last week. They said it was because I tinted my windows. I looked at the guy and laughed:

"Is that what Service Manager told you to say?"

Look into Moleskin Tint/window protector. It will fix your problem with the window streaking.

I have titanium tint. So, the surface will not scratch easily. And, it's not scratches. It's faint lines. Something inside the window track gets wet and then "oozes" onto the film. Mine wipes right off - same as many other people with 335is models. On the Z, it was actual electrical grease on the rubber rollers.

All joking aside on the window tint comment made by the service writer: When you get your windows tinted, a large amount of water/soap/adhesive is sprayed down inside the window track on the inside. That gets stuck in the felt. When it rains, the felt gets wet/humid and moistens the chemical - thus leaving "streaks" on the inside of your window/film.

Again, mine wipes right off with no permanent damage. Just annoying sometimes.

It is LLumar Ceramic + Particulate something or another. I don't know the series number off hand.
A buddy of mine does it on the side. I can try and find out the number, if you like. I'll shoot him a text...

Will be in the market for e92 335is White/Coral w/DCT in a few months if anyone is looking to sell. Let me know what you have.

Also is anyone running 245F and 265R...I know the 245s fit on the 8" front but not so sure about 265s on 8.5" rears, assuming 18". The 19" style 313s are 9" in rear if not mistaken.
