More on Run Flat : Technical Details
I have searched the forum to see if there is an explanation for not repairing run-flat tyres. Could not find an eperical answer.
I understand that the walls are strengthened and the seat against the rim is redesigned to perform better under high heat/ run flat condidtion. Why cant they repair a nail in the tyre tread. If the plug gets out during a second run-flat situation - what's the harm. My tyre got a nail, but I noticed before the tyre started to deflate. It is losing pressure very slowly and if I re-inflate the tyre daily it hardly loses pressure. But nobody wants to repair my tyre because it says "do not repair" on the tyre....
