Your AEs look amazing. Is there any way I can do that to my e90?

I'm sure you can dude, I just searched on eBay for them. If you search e90 angel eye led or something along those lines I'm sure you'll get something. May be different bulbs from the coupe though, I'm not actually sure.

So next on the list was the most important mod.

Put the car up on the ramp, and got the coilovers in.
Got the coilovers off a forum member for a very very good price after only been used for a month by himself.
They're FK coilovers, & to be honest, I only got these to do me for a short period as well, until I had a bit of spare cash to get a set of bc coilovers but I'm so impressed with the ride that I'm going to keep these in for the time being anyway.
My brother has his e60 dropped on bc-racing coilovers and has the dampening set to as stiff as it goes so of course it's going to be bumpy, but I expected the fk's to run worse and I was pleasantly surprised at the fact they didn't feel much different to the stock m sport suspension!

Any way, on with the fitting. Terrible picture, but uh ohhh...

Had to fit a set of 5mm spacers that I had lying around in the front to clear the shock.

& viola...

Always loved the raked look!

lol, jk.

Makes such a difference lowering it.

Have about 5mm to go down in the front still but I think my tyres are too big to allow the extra drop
May try it though and see how it goes.
Adjusters and helper springs are all still in so when I get my new wheels with decent stretch I can go down a good bit more

No 4x4 status anymore. Just the issue of what rims to get next :

Another package came

Always thought the stock M Sport diffuser looked out of place with the plasticky grey finish. May look ok with different colours, but against the BSM it just didn't do anything for me at all, actually annoyed me when I looked at it!

So I decided to give it a go with plasti-dip so as I could just rip it straight off if I didn't like how it turned out.

Had read people saying it was hard/tricky to get the diffuser off, so I planned on taping the surrounding area off & spraying on the car but after trying this for about a minute I got annoyed and thought it seemed like more hassle!

Turns out you just need to unscrew about 5 screws and the diffuser pops off pretty easily.

Give it a spray (about 8 layers) popped it back on, and was pleased with the outcome.

This is the most current mod I've done in the space of 2 weeks since I've had the car.

C&C welcome

Have a couple more plans for the future (apart from new rims);
  • Front lip - not sure which one?
  • Light/medium window tint
  • Dual exhaust tip - to give the rear a better finish

Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated, thanks

Looks great dude, I'm thinking a nice front lip would really do wonders. What wheel set up are you thinking? Specs?

Thanks man, that's what I was thinking too. I've been having a look on eBay at the moment for lips, no sellers over here doing any by the looks of things.
Found a few hamman style, but not sure if I like them with the ends flicking up .. liking the look of this one as it's pretty plain http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2707903071...84.m1423.l2648
Haven't got mega bucks to spend so wouldn't want to spend much more that £200 on one.

As for the wheel set up, again I don't have mega bucks to spend on them so I don't think I'm going to be able to get any nice splits.. not new anyway you might be able to help me out, throw me a few ideas..
Would like to go as wide as possible with a good bit of stretch so I don't have to do any major fender mods!

You can always go 9.5 et20ish front and 11 rear et25ish sound about right to me. And for a stretch a 225/35 and 245/35 would work for you. I guess if your on a budget you could always look at reps :

Had seen a set of 'XXR 531' on a US site that ships over here.
Can get them in 19 x 8.5 et35 / 10 et35 or et15 / 11 et15.
Was on http://www.willtheyfit.com using the calculator to see what if I could pull off the 11 rears and 10 fronts, but the 10's with et35 will be too much towards the shock so cant really work them, and the et15 could be too low even with a good stretch.
Can't find any other reps really with good specs
Going to keep a look out on some UK sites to see if there's any nice spec rims being sold on

Was from Hong Kong I think, took about 20 days to get here but was only £1.40 for a sheet of 12" x 24" (don't even need half that, but good in case you make a mistake)
You could do the whole light, but I just made a cut out to cover the white.
Matches perfect, it's the exact same colour, was really pleased.
And it's pretty easy to do, I just made sure the headlight was clean > sprayed with soapy water > peeled the film off > put it in place > then heated it until it was stuck properly (good to use heat gun but I didn't have one so used a hair dryer) > while heating it, if you have a squidgey, or like I done, put a card from my wallet inside a microfibre cloth and squeeze all the water out to make sure there's no bubble.
That's it really, if you've never done it before the first try might not go great, but then you'll do it right the next time, super easy!
Ahh, do you still have the ebay link for the film?
I will probably buy it and try it myself as well
Thanks in advance !!

Might as well, it's really simple. And even if you do mess up, there's extra to re-do and it's only £1.40 so nothing to lose http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=181038813428

Had been 'watching' a set for a bit and they were at about £55 or £60ish, then seen the guy had 30 on offer for £49.99, so ordered a set up.

Here's the link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2810545858...84.m1497.l2649

The painted diffuser improved the look completely. Very nice car, almost bought this color when I was looking.
