1st E90 Ventech Rear bumper *JGMODS*
First E90 with the JGMODS Ventech bumper but I'm not the first to ever do a similar style. It's an m-tech lci rear with custom vents. No grills for the mean time, I plan to just place a piece of gloss black plastic and put double sided tape. Plug and play, retains original bumper tabs, fits OEM, no extra modifications. Paint match is awesome.
You can see the original sales thread here for E90's and E92's and PM JGMODS, http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=870918 You can get a single or double exhaust diffuser, already matte black. Mine is currently being painted, I opted for black sapphire metallic. I'm just adding on pics along the way as I haven't had time to do more shoots. Thanks for looking. I really liked the look of this bumper when I first saw it. To me it just doesn't look right on the car. The vents just look too gaudy.

you need a more aggressive car to have that imho I mean it kinda doesn't flow with anything else on your car. mayb will look a little better with the diffuser to lol.

Op the paint work, and molding look ok. Now regarding the cutting and following the lines of your car it's a total Miss and fail IMO, for this to work the two cuts horizontally needed it be perfect and one is completely off and the most important part the vertical one needed to be following the roundness of the wheel ware Not agains it that's why it looks so add again just IMO, but I do give props on the idea !!!
Oh btw I know they are trying to make it look like the m1 rear bumper, well it's a complete miss then. The M1 bumper if you look the vent is closer to the diffuser and NOT towards the wheel ware, also the lines on the vent are following the lines of the diffuser. I dont think it looks BAD, i personally just feel like the vent is off a little bit. The opening should follow the curve of the wheel arch IMO but yours goes opposite...im sure it will look better with an aggressive diffuser..
heres a pic of what I mean and I think its what they were going for in manufacturing this bumper

Thanks! It's much better looking than the 6 year old stock bumper, which we found out isn't original!! I wonder who had my car before I bought it, for sure it was modded more than stock. I know the name was Mike though, I think he was Japanese. Quote:

Looks good IMO! Just needs a little more aggressive touches. Maybe quads and a DD diffuser. Or Performance Spoiler or CSL Trunk.

Natural curve has been done and over done. We wanted to do something a little different. Like any new mod, there will be some that love it, some who kind of like it, and some who hate it and we are OK with that.
Thank you Jason for taking the time to make a post and we're glad you're happy with your new VenTech Rear. Best, Jay |

hmmm... staring at the pics for a while, something just seems off or not right to me about the vent...
but i think i figured it out.. it would look a whole lot better if the vent followed the curve of the wheel arch instead of going against it. EDIT: ooop.. didn't really read anyone elses comments but i guess they are saying the same thing.. |
