hi..i need some advise!
hey guys i just picked up my e92 335i coupe last saturday, and i didnt do any paint protection or any clear bra on it just yet, so i was wondering how do you guys clean it? i have water residue all over and stuff but i was told not to use any towels to rub against the paint and what not. im getting the clear bra after i get my aerolip this saturday. and should i get paint protection like a daimond coating or ming mirror finish, something like that? thanks guys.

To perform a good detailing you will probably spend $200-400 right away on products and need to set aside around 5 hours of your time to do everything. You will also do just as well as most detailers and you'll know exactly what happened to your car. Don't worry about the paint protection. The dealers "paint protection" is a scam to get more money. You can also use towls but most will say to stick to quality microfiber towls such as pakshak, cobra or detailedimage.com towls. A good MF towl will do very little to harm your paint. You should definately protect your paint, at least the areas before you install the aero lip and clear bra. Think of it like this. You'll go drop $200 to have a good detailer do everything for you. But when it's done you'll have no products to take care of your car in the mean time. That leaves you to either not do anything until the next $200 detailing, or use sub par products on your car just to get by. It's all up to you really. It's just what are you willing to spend and how much time can you set aside?

Go to Zainostore.com and buy the zaino kit for about 90 bucks. It's about a 4 hour process to clay your car and go through the process, but it's easy and you won't believe the shine and protection it gives. Before I had the Zaino products water spots was a nightmare for me. This stuff is really amazing and there's nothing else on the market that eclipses this.
Once you've applied the products, to maintain the shine is a piece of cake.

I can always tell--which would drive me crazy, I think. But the added protection would be nice for the peace of mind....
