Sorry man - we have had a brutal few mos with email and tech issues. I'll save the sob story, but it has been pretty stressful. 100s of emails were missed and it seems like 100s of sent emails never made it either. We are finally getting back into the swing of things and I hope everything will be right in the next week or 2.

Phone is always best for me.

ps. It's hard to beat GC plates

pps. I will start a 335D GB thread now

No hard feelings man! None at all. I'll be sure to call you when I get the OS Giken SL. I'll get your number directly from Charles. You guys have done some sick stuff to his car down at VAC.

Glad that my thread led to a GB for you and the guys on here. Now is the time guys. Spring time mods and let it rip until the fall ends!

I'm also considering to get an LSD for my M135i (currently on order) and I was wondering what to get.

- I will use the car on the street 95% of the time, and an occasional track day.
- I don't want to spend time/money for maintenance on the LSD, or as little as possible
- I am hoping for some better sprint acceleration (from stand still, compared to the standard E-LSD)
- the ability to do an occasional power slide on a round about or a drift in snow during winter time
- I am not concerned with better track lap times

As from what I have understood from this thread, a Quaife or Wavetrac should fit my needs?

Which one?
Any more input please ? thanks !

I got the Quaife and am happy so far, but I just got it so too early to give final opinion. As you see from this thread, other guys like the Wavetrac.

You're probably right that the Wavetrac or Quaife will best suit your needs. Take your pick. Both seem to be reputable.

Personally, I will be going with Quaife when I make the move because I have in my head (for better or for worse) that this is a hassle- & gimic-free reputable product that has been in use for some time, has been proven to be reasonably bullet-proof, and is well-backed by its manufacturer and any good installer. after sufficient research, I tend to go with my gut for these sorts of things as I will otherwise lose too much sleep over the internal debate as to which I should choose. Good luck with your choice!

Cool fact: over 65,000 Quaife ATBs have been sold.

Now I need some adult supervision to install the JBD and give the Quaife more to deal with. At the moment it handles the demands of our unmodified torque monster with aplomb without hesitation.

Any time you want to put my garage, tools, or hands to use just say the word, sir.

I'm getting an allignment done on Thursday and I'm considering having the SFBs and rear sway done while I'm there & install the front sway myself...trying to figure out a way to not tackle the whole package in one swoop and scare my lovely wife

...she did offer to get the LSD for my birthday, though....but then I'll have to do everything else concurrently...decisions decisions...& I haven't even fitted the wheels to see if any modifications will be needed for the rear fenders.

Got that right . She's also the one who bought me the RGRs and seems to be trying to convince me to install the karbonwerke/sonic tuning trunk.

It's my lack of desire to part with my money that holds me back

FR, sent you a separate PM. With regard to Quaife, go for it. I am trying to determine the right words to follow-up on my Suspension post to describe what the car is like now. I had so much done that the difference is huge, but I can tell you the Quaife makes a really big difference. Give me a few more days to put together the pics and I'll try to describe what I am experiencing. The only item that is "open" per se is I am hearing a little drone/hum/whine at around 40-50 mph. Not bad, but noticeable. Have notified the boys in Philly and they have expressed interest.

Sounds good Mike. What would be the cost of a Quaife built into a new core? Would you also in turn receive the old core from the seller. If so, what would the credit be?

I just spent 8k on new windows for my house. I'd rather have spent 1/2 of it on a visit to VAC for the record. One day.

Your windows will last 15-20 years; wonder about our Ds?
