Question regarding re-building wheels
Im planning on rebuilding my Work Vsxx.
My question is regarding the bolts, i have looked into getting replacement bolts from Work, however im looking at around 800 for the bolts. Now my question is, can i re-use the bolts that are already there? I dont understand why when people rebuild wheels they usually use new bolts. Can anyone help ? |

yes you can. but since you are rebuilding, your wheel will look new/shiny and if your bolts are not in the same condition - it will look off.

From a pure visual perspective you don't want old bolts on new shiny looking wheels. From a technical perspective I don't see why you cannot re-use the same old bolts.

Well i can alway get the old bolts polished, or dipped.
However I usually hear that people buy new bolts when re-building wheels. Im just not looking foward to spending over 800+$ on bolts. |

theyre not torque to to yield. normally its just an m8 bolt with a high tensile strength, you can reuse them. just dap a little blue loc tite on the threads and make sure to torque them. Ive done this many times.
as far as finish goes you can prob just hit em on a high speed buffer and you wont be able to tell. pm me if you have any questions |
