Dealers are not always stealers....

I guess most of us know this. However if some of us are not aware of it, I thought to share it.

Sellers on fleabay are bigger stealers and sometimes people on fleabay sell items for silly prices.

Here are 2 examples:
1- Items number: 250993079028 (cost: 69.99 excluding delivery)

This item cost £55.72 including VAT from dealers brand new.
I have sent e-bay message to this seller to inform him that he over priced his item, but he simply ignored my message. As he knows, there are many 'idiots' sitting out there, who will simply click 'buy it now' and get his items.

2- Coolant
Sellers on ebay are selling Original BMW coolant for about 18-20 delivered. However it cost £10-11 including VAT from dealers.

There are many other examples, but these two are eye openers.

Most of us assume that ebay is a cheaper place to shop around, but that is not always true.

Rant over!

I was recently surprised to find it was cheaper to get new wheels and tyres fitted at the main dealer than any other local garage.

Which wheels and tires, and how much did it cost?

Mak: So true mate. Obviously somethings are definately expensive but I find that mainly is the case if you choose to have said parts "fitted" at the dealer. What I do is do most of my own servicing and stuff but always use Genuine parts from bmw so i have backup reciepts etc, and anything I cant do or do not have tools for I gave to a close family friend who has his own garage. The difference in price is not huge, sometimes cheaper sometimes a bit dearer, but all in all worth it.

P.s some people on Ebay take the right P**s.

That doesnt make sense. You cant get a tyre for £65 to fit a beemer let alone a wheel with it as well.

My local tyre place charges 5 - 10 quid a wheel.

Garage List
I was after some front mats for my E92 on Friday. I rang Halliwell Jones in Warrington at 10:45, they told me they weren't in stock, i told them i was in no rush but when can i get them in, their response...

You can collect them after 13:30!

I was impressed with my first BMW contact!
