Mr. Clean Carwash kit owners...

So I bought a couple of kits from woot.com when they had the for $3.

I was wondering if anyone has re-used the "gun" with regular car wash soap, like CG wash and gloss?

I'm wondering if it acts like a foam gun.

I bought one back about 5-6 years ago when they first came out, don't use it anymore though. I never tried any other soap, but it should be fine. It mixes the soap with hose water, but really doesn't create a foam lather. Looks more like if you take a sponge and wring it out over the paint. There's no adjustment for soap/water mixture either.

The single feature I bought it for was the filtered water rinse, which does actually work pretty well. Make sure you stock up on filters though, they only last a couple of washes. Last I checked, the filters were pretty expensive (like $4-5 each).

But hey, for 3 bucks, give it a shot. Think I paid $40+ for mine.

I just hated that the filters are so slow to put out water. I find it faster to use the sheeting method, and any spots I get I can use quick detailer on.

For $3, not a bad toy for the spotless rinse though.

FYI, I put some of my CG wash and gloss in it the other day and it did not work. I think it's because the wash and glass is very thick.

I have two actually (christmas/sercret santa gifts? Don't remember). Was thinking of using it in combination with ONR this winter.

First winter with my bimmer coming up. With all the salt and road crap from slushy snow, it's going to drive me mad that I can't keep my car clean.

That's an interesting idea. We have a hose hookup and sink in our garage, but unfortunately it's not heated.

you might have to dilute the w&g with water a little bit just to thin it out.
