Need help switching to 19's
Hey everyone, i just purchased some m6 replicas for my e92 335i. I currently have the 18 inch wheels that come with the sport package and i know i'm going to need to replace my tires. i was wondering if anyone knew of some good ones. I've been reading about Hankook Ventus V12 Evos but i'm confused as to what sizes to get. The setup of the new rims is 19x8.5 ET35 with a 235/35/19 in the front and the 19x9.5 ET33 with a 265/30/19 in the rear. Do i buy two tires with the front setup and two tires with the back setup? also in terms of the TPMS sensors can i take them off my old wheels and put them on my new ones or should i just buy new sensors? I'm going to be selling my 18 inch star spoked rims with the RF tires too. If someone could help, id really appreciate it!

Since our cars come staggered from the factory, tire dealer knows that front and rears are different sizes, so they will sell them as sush. If you go to tirerack.com, it will automatically knows that you have a staggered setup and give you options for such.
TPMS, you can either take the stock ones out and use those or buy aftermarket ones. Doesn't matter. Last edited by MKR_DmD; 06-01-2011 at 12:15 PM.. |

You would want to go with a 235/35 front and a 265/30 rear. This setup will be flush on all 4 corners. OE TPMS can be reused.

Thanks everyone i appreciate the help, i figured out how to work tirerack haha. In terms of switching the TMPS from my old wheels to my new ones, i'm assuming i can do that through however installs my tires and wheels to my car. Does anyone know what kind of additional fees or pros/cons of switching the TMPS rather than buying new ones? Also, I was reading online that after installing the TMPS on my new wheels that i need to go to the dealer and have them programmed, is that true? Basically i'm totally new to modding and switching wheels and tires so i'm just not sure what exactly should be done at the installers end and i want to make sure i don't get forget to do something dire lol.
PS: I got your pm capo but i may be buying tires through the company that's installing them, not sure yet but ill keep you in mind, |
