Run different tires?

Is it possible to have two different tires

im looking to buy stock e46 wheels for my e90 but he has two continentals in the front and 2 hancooks in the rear, all the same tire size though.

Can i run that setup on my 328xi?

I went in to replace my car front two tires because it was causing major steering wheel vibration. In some cases A tire has been discontinued then you may be forced to do it. If you uses to mix tires they should be the same type of tire with the same service description.

Make sure you do this.

Also consider that if you have different tires on front vs rear the overall performance and handling is going to change and the car may not handle as you would expect in emergency situations (hard braking, aggressive turning to avoid another car, etc.) This is an extreme example, but if you have snow tires on the front and slicks on the rear in the same size the handling is going to be compromised.
