Cleaning dual cone intakes - question

Hi all,

So I got my DCIs off the car, and I have some K&N oil/aerosol here. Just wanted to double-check before I screw anything up - is it really legit to let water run over these from inside to get the grease off, and spray them with the aerosol cleaner from inside? I want to make sure I don't get any weirdness into my turbos, so want to do it properly.

Thanks!

Yes, but i don't spray anything on the inside. Just outside. Also just make sure they are dried (and oil for some) before reinstalling them.

Gotcha, thanks.

Curious.. are the Vishnu ones normally oiled? And if not... is oiling them a bad idea?

oiling is always a plus it helps catch dirt better. Just get pretty heavy with the degreaser and let it dry as much as you can and then oil it (if you want)
