also... after the cop left. i looked right in front of me and my car has the registration sticker right there on the windshield... isnt that the same thing?

yes, but they only do that with parking offenses.

everything else, license, registration, proof of insurance....

^^ Yeh they can. But I am not sure how it works in NJ. But in NY you have a registration sticker on your front window and you also have a registration card. The card has all your information on it. Basically proving if you own the car or not.

I got a Failure to Exhibit Documents summons in NJ for not having my registration card. Actually, I blew a stop sign, had no registration card, no insurance card, and overdue rejected inspection. I gave the guy a PBA card and he gave me the summons... he was supposed to impound my car so I got a break.

Anyway, the ticket was $46. I had to prove I actually had a registration card and insurance but I still had to pay the fine.

Unless he gave you an unregistered vehicle ticket (which would be retarded since they can see the vehicle is registered in their computer) you still have to pay the fine.

At least it's no points... be happy. If you go to court they will probably give you some other offense or dismiss it... either way it's usually cheaper.

the sending the registration doesnt work anymore. i did a couple years ago, but doesnt now, simply because you need to have it at the time of you getting pulled over. what i would do is contact the officer and be like i got pulled over do you think i can come in and bring the reg in? say you just got your car detailed and took everything out.

it was at summit. i was really suprised when i got caught as i wasnt even trying to speed cause i was actually having a conversation with someone in my car and i was really tired.
