help with e90 320 front grill please
hi i have a e90 320i 2007 and i wish to change the front grill from the chrome with black slats to the all chrome one on the 325 and so on,
i know many people are changing to blacking cars out but i like chrome, well i rang bmw spares and orderd it and payed for it and they oreded the same as i have got, now they tell me theres no returns on the product !!! when i orded it i said chrome inserts not black to me its there fault !! im furious and now have to go back and see the manager on monday to sort it out, now i asked the girl can she order the right one and she said there is not chrome ones available for the 320 ! i said arnt they all the same size she said no !! i rang a random bmw dealer in sydney and he told me they all fit wether its the 320 325 or 335 sedan they are all the same size can anybody confirm this please for me so i have ammo for monday thanks |

Just enter bmw part number into www.realoem.com parts search and it will bring up all compatible models |

You've been had mate.
For Pre-LCI cars (ie yours) all grills are interchangeable whether they be chrome slats or black slats. It is true that chrome slats are not for 4 cylinder models, but it doesn't mean you can't order them for your car. Member cruvon has put on the chrome slats on his 320i as well. |

Def agree with demanding a refund!
Just as an alternative can you get the ones you have chromed? I did see some chrome metal (and black chrome, matte black) kidneys for sale a little while ago they looked nice my only problem is I wanted matching lower honey comb grills as well but weren't available |

Get a refund or ask for an exchange on the actual item you want! The fact the parts department 'cannot' think outside the box when placing the order is not your fault.. as evident with the other dealer you called who seemed to have a clue.

I never trust girls working in car dealerships.. not a gender thing but if they dont have the interest in cars, how would they know? I wouldn't expect a girl to research something technical about it and give you the real answer. She is simply there to take your creditcard imo.
In answering your question, you can get original ones from the US cheaper, so get your refund and buy it from the states, also try give BMR (Stuart) a ring, I am sure they can get it for you for a good price too |

ones from the US and they were perfect condition. By the way, does anyone know of any other places to buy parts from in the US or Europe? |

Alternatively use freight forwarder such as shipito to ship your goods from the US if they don't directly ship to Australia. |

He is a great communicator and will answer emails quickly. I also hassled him on the postage and he changed it to a cheaper service. Got the grilles within a week. |
