Shadow line result!

After trying everything, Autosol Chrome polish/cleaner does the trick. Mine is like new now after being tired to say the least.

Will be interesting to see, as the E70 shadowline has got those horrid watermarks that I've not been able to shift, even using the DA!

My local Halfrauds did not have a tube last night on the way home, so will have to go into Southampton today and pick up a tube.

Autosol can be used on fine and precious metals so the trim should be no different.

For black shadow trim use;

http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/pre-wa.../prod_119.html

Works great without a machine buffer. I doubt you'll find any good oxidation remover from a high street store.

Armed with Autosol i tried a small area in case the the dreaded abrasive stripped my shadow line down to bear Metal...

I am happy to report that it did not do any damage to my trim at all.........................................

However it did not remove the water marks either. May have worked for the OP, but not a sausage, bugger all!!

However all was not wasted as i shined my quad exhaust tails up and now they are Shiny Shiny!

No point in taking any pictures as all of us with this trim knows what it looks like with the water marks, and mine has not changed one bit.

Sorry OP, not diss'ing your post, and if it works for you great, but not for me. Least i have shiny tails now!

I've always used Autoglym glass polish. Seems to do the trick.

I used my DA polisher with a spot cutting pad & M105 and it removed them no problems. (We are talking about the gloss black window trim and not the chrome version right?)
