ice warning
so the temperature has been from 0 to about 5 recently and i get the ice warning all the time, on startup and as i drive.
Can i disable this "feature" as it is not helping "me" at all except that annoys me. Thank you. |

It is a very useful feature warning you to be careful, and I hope you don't find out about it the wrong way... |

That's why they put that warning there for safety and the seat belt chime is annoying which is why I tell my passengers to always put their seat belt on, lol. |

Personally I don't like it either... Good to know it can be coded out. Maybe I'm more old school, but this has been my newest car, and a lot of 'features' I could do without. I like checking my oil on a dipstick, checking my tire pressures every few weeks, not being told when its cold out, or not being able to put something on the passenger seat without the car telling that object to buckle up.

In many ways my Honda is better then my BMW...and if I was a little bit smarter and a little less vain, I’d ditch the BMW.
BTW, California guy, in most of Canada, December to the end of March is almost always below 3C, so that f’ing double beep we get after the four f’ing beeps we get every time we press the start button before we put our seatbelt on, it kinda grates on the nerves... lol its not that annoying, it freaks us out on the west coast more, it rarely drops below the temp threshold required to trigger it, usually its when your driving in the middle of the night (coldest) like 2AM freaks me out every time.
