best products for dark cars

i detailed a black jeep today and noticed even though i got many swirls and light scratches out many still were there so what is the best to use on say a black vehicle this jeep keep in mind had not been waxed in 3 years or had any type of proper detailing other than a car wash

Check out this posting from the guys at Detailers Domain: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=408025. They took on an '01 Boxster in black, and really did a good job on it. They've posted all of the products they used in that detail job.

dam the boxter looks new after he cleaned it up! do you know what he was using to scrub the car?!

If scratch/swirl removal is your goal, there really is no correlation of products to paint color. Some paints are harder/softer and others, so that's a factor, but color alone is not. Polishing aside, I like OPT Opti-Seal or Blackfire Wet Diamond for sealants and either Natty's Blue, Dodo Purple Haze, or Dodo Supernatural for waxing.
