retrofit auto climate controls e92

Hi,

I'm looking to buy an Alpina D3 coupe soon. But because of the limited options selected on most coupes, most of them seem to have manual climate controls.

The problem i have is that i want to install a double din headunit and all the kits are for cars with auto controls.

On real OEM it shows both controls are electrical and i read on another forum that someone did the swap and got most of the controls working.

Is all that is required is just the new control panel, fascia and coding?

Need to know before i buy the car as its a real deal breaker if i can't get nat and ipod control.

I know you can retrofit both factory but its too expensive

I would have a look at WDS and see what differences exist in pin-out's and plug configuration.

Take your time, learn the language of the diagrams and you can literally wire your car to do anything:

Thanks but i'm not looking play doctor frankestein witht he car. Simple plug and code job is what i'm after.

I cannot believe no one manufactures a doule din kit for manual controls. Shame i can't use the 1 series kit. this is really putting me off buying the alpina coupe.

I've even seen the dodgey looking chinesse OEM replacements that have space for manual controls.

Just got off the phone to connects2, and they are going to ask the question as to why they do not have a kit for manual controls
