Wheel Locks

Hey all, I just installed my wheels but the OEM wheel locks did not fit. Does anyone know a different lock to use or any suggestions? Thanks

Check out RAD wheel locks, you can find them on our site.

Why didn't the OEM wheel locks fit if you don't mind me asking?

I have the new Miro 942's and for some reason the tech couldnt grip of enough of the bolt to tighten it down. Either the hole is to small for the larger lock head or the socket isnt deep enough to fit on the key and tighten it down. i thought it was pretty weird but they tried a few times and couldnt get it. Can you PM a link to these locks your talking about. Thanks

I'm using McGard ultra high security bolts, part # 27179 SL.

I bought them from a company in the UK (where wheel theft is rampant), since they're not sold here directly. They cannot be forced off with tools from Snap-on or Craftsman, or with a socket that's been wedged on, because it has a ring on the outside that rotates.

I prefer Gorilla locks.

http://www.gorilla-auto.com/lug.bolt....locks.page_17

As long as you can use a 17mm socket on your existing lug bolts you'll be fine. The Gorilla key is a deep socket that matches the unique ridges on their lock bolts. It's 17mm just like the OE lug bolts.

You can get Gorillas at many online vendors like Summit Racing and Amazon, plus retail shops.

RAD locks seem to be the very popular wheel lock amongst the European car community. I haven't heard of any complains thus far. I believe they do offer black coated ones to match OE lug bolts as well.
