I had Birch Anthracite in my 2003 325Ci and it was a great looking wood - back then you had to choose one item from the individual range to be "allowed" to spec the sports pack and the cheapest was the wood at around $1000!!

Although I love the sports pack, getting that, a sunroof and metallic paint costs something silly like $9 grand!!!

Yeh astra, there'd be many things that I'd be cautious of doing before sitting in the seat of your car..
reading the newspaper before gripping the steering wheel
having a meat pie with sauce
sitting on anything in public space
wearing new jeans in the rain
the list goes on.. tell us the million dollar secret..

Astra, you almost definately don't have that wood in yours - you have birch anthracite going from an earlier pic I've seen. I used to have it, trust me!

To be 100% sure post a pic of the wood up close(ish) but in natural day light with decent exposure.

i've had this conversation with astra before....
she just has the magic touch - keeping her interior spotless
personally i'd be scared to even sit in the thing coz i wear jeans a lot of the time

million dollar secret... hmmm... well, i bought leather protection from bmw, they screwed it up, my leather got stained, so i took it back, they fixed it to new... and now i just use the bmw leather cleaner when i feel it needs it... also, i had an issue with my steering wheels leather, something bmw put on it ate the leather, so it all wore off... they gave me a new steering wheels free of charge, and i have not had a problem since!

oh, and i do wear black jeans in my car - no problems

LOL Astra can you get the wood to reflect a bit more

Maybe take a front on shot?

Still looks like Birch Anthracite to me!

BA generally looks very dark, almost black but in some light is gets a sort of blue-ish hue to it.

I think the aero kit looks great. M-tech kit will be looking at around $2,500 not painted. Not sure about the Aero.

Cheers

The aero kit is already available i've seen it on a few 335i's at BMW Sydney in the show room and sold ones. Personally i like the M sport kit more though.

I personally think Piano Black trim is the best, i'm wishing it was available when i got mine... not that there is much wrong with black aluminium cube.

i don't think it is out in australia yet... you'd have to purchase it overseas and import it... personally if i imported something, i would rather it was something from one of the tuners but if you wantd to be one of the first with the m sport bumper, then import is the only way? someone correct me if i am wrong!

Pretty much spot on there Kimberly!

Quisp,
The M-Sport kit is available in the UK, so you can bribe a European friend to order the parts and ship them to you, or try your luck with a very accommodating UK dealership....

But if you want to buy it from a local Aussie dealership, it's not going to happen for at LEAST another two months or so.

I'm on the wait list and have a deposit down on an M-Sport E92 335i, but it isn't even on BMW Australia's computer ordering system yet, so we can't even put the order through and get a production date. The M-Sport kit is estimated to be a $5-6000 premium on the price of the car.

Earliest indication of delivery date I have been given is October/November, so use that as a rough guide as to whether or not you want to postpone the order of your E92... Of course you could always just buy now, and add the M-Sport kit later, but by the time you add all the entire M-Tech bodykit, M-Tech steering wheel, M-Sport suspension, gearknob, pedals (?), scuff plates, etc etc... And then get it painted and fitted by a reputable bodyshop, you'll be past the $5-6000 mark anyway.

im in the same position as Merli, ive been waiting for ages for BMW Aus to make this M-sports kit official here so i can get a production date. Patience was not my virtue but im starting make it mine, the way BMW Aus works with BMW Headquarters in Germany is equivalent to snails pace. If only we had a larger market so we could have more priority down-under.

.
So an M-Sport E92 335i will cost between $131,000 to $137,000 on the road !
