e90 wheel offsets
Hi can anybody advise me off the correct offsets ,i have a e90 msport and have my eye on a set off bbs csl 19" wheels the guy rekons they fit straight on the new 3 series. He said fronts are offset at 44 rears 27
Now the reason i have my doubts is our local wheel guy www.bmautosport .co.uk has a exact same set and mentions they will only fit a e46 3 series and must have been asked a million times as the add reads please dont ask about other bmw fittings E46 M3 ONLY , I am paranoid the seller would advise me anything just to get the sale thanks in advance |

That's the offset for the e46 M3, (fronts 44, rears 27).
OEM e9x 16" and 17" non-staggered offset is ET34. OEM 17" and 18" staggered offset is ET34 front and ET37 rear. And OEM 19" is ET37 front and ET39 rear.

I have a 9" wide rear with ET25, and there is no more room, its flush against the fender.
The CSL's I think are 9.5" rear and that would rub with ET27. Besides ET44 would look way tucked in on the front. Look for ET30-35 for both front and rear.

They fit on a treat, but you need 225 tyres up front and 255 tyres at the rear.
Jason, be careful how much you spend on staggered replicas, the OEM wheels can be had for under a grand from a helpful local dealer who gives a bit of discount. E90 with OEM CSL wheels..... [img]http://antandpete.vault5.com/Ant/BMWd3.JPG[img] Last edited by gIzzE; 03-31-2008 at 04:01 AM.. |

Thats right, any E46 M3 wheel including CSL's go straight on.
You can also run the 235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 rear tyre setup if you like with the CSL rims with no rubbing what so ever. Heres a pic of our new Saphire Black one with 235/265 PS2 tyres: We supply OEM BMW parts including CSL rims through our new Speed Religion company, we have new a used sets if anybody wants a set... £1050 inc VAT new, £750 used. ant. |

No they are OEM.
Good prices Ant, that is like dealer price less 20% discount on the new ones. I may have those used ones off you and sell my BBS CH's. I was trying to decide whether to go back to CSL rims, just to keep it OEM looking. I will have a think tonight. |

I know they recommend different tyres for different wheels, but you can put on what you want as long as the fit.
What have you put on your car now mate? |

I'm amazed how you managed to get a 9.5" wide tire and ET27 on, without rubbing. No fender rolling? More negative camber?
Like I said I have a 9" wide rear and ET25 and I rub slightly when loaded and hitting a big bump, and with your rims you extend an extra 4mm, with no rubbing...quite the mystery...

No rubbing at all, expect once I heard something over a hump back bridge at speed and put it down to all 4 tyres trying to imbed themselves in the rust proffing under the arches... But no rubbing on the fenders. |

Why not buy them from Ant?
He has already said he will do them for £1050 new or £750 used. Those tyres have 6mm on them, at 3mm you want to rplace PS2's ideally, and they start with 8mm, so 2 of 5mm gone means they are 40% worn. |

As he says, the wheels are brand new, so a value of around £1,000 to £1,100 for them, so almost £900 for part worn tyres?
I can supply these wheels brand new in sealed boxes to you direct from BMW UK with 4 brand new tyres if you like for you to fit or I can fit them for you? £1895 for brand new alloys and brand new tyres. I estimate he is making around £300-£400 profitt on each 'Buy it Now' as they are. ant. |

If you look back at his feedback, he certainly has sold quite a few of these sets... http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayIS...d=270223963095
All brand new alloys with tyres between 6-7mm. How can he come accross so many complete sets of part worn tyres? Maybe he buys a set, puts tyres on them, runs them for a few thousand miles and then puts them on ebay. Sells them then does it all again! Free tyres in effect. You can aslo see that they usualy sell for between £1,600 and £1,700, not £2,500 as he states. |
