Help! 5 days CURB RASH
  I was parking my car when I went to the supermarket and hit the curb a little. When I got out, to check the rash I saw the little one I did but upon further inspection there was a huge one on the same tire  The only time I'm not the one driving my car is when I give to the parking lot people is it possible that they did this?
Anyway how do I fix the curb rash and how much should it cost me? I'm sort of miffed about the whole thing, because the big scuff is pretty bad.

Accidents happen, rim rash can be repaired. Search the forums for repair places in your area, or ask members in the regional forum. repairs should cost you about $75 to $100 per rim for rash.
Lastly, practice parking with more patience, use your sideview mirrors. Danny

Or bring the car back to the dealer. If the car is only 5 days old maybe they will give you a freebee. If they charge you it should be around $125. Good luck Kenny |

thanks guys, men I love this forum. I don't mind spending $75 to $125 to fix it. I've been patient I just had a momentary lapse today.

Yup, same thing happened to me on Friday. I'm putting my snows on in less than a month, so I'll just wait to get it fixed until it's off the car.

Speaking of snow tires, I just got my tire rack winter tire and wheel combo. I was a little dissappointed because the inside of the rim wasn't completely painted. You could see where the silver paint was a liitle thin. In addition I thought I was getting the BMW logo caps that snap on, not the ones that have a sticky back. It's impossible to get that exactly centered on the wheel. I'll probably wait until after Thanksgiving before mounting them.

now you got a reason to get new rims. i rember abou 4 years ago i had rims on my accord within 3 months i rashed them all. now with the bmw i am going to try to not park next to anything that can rash the rims. when i picked it up in munich i was going in my hotel and the ramp to the second floor twisted and had a small curve in the middle. i went up and down so slow. good lukc.
