BMW 19" Performance Wheels - Soon to Install

Frequent visitors of the wheels section might recall that I have been asking for pics of the 19" BMW Performance Wheels since I'm very interested to get them installed on them. (Just check out the pics of the new concept car 1 series Tii - those are rolling on 18"s)

I have decided to be an idiot and drop the cash and get a few other small things installed. I'll be going to dealership this Saturday. When it's done, I'll definitely post pics and share with everyone.

FYI here are the specs of my car (I'll update my signature soon)

E90 335i - Metallic Black, Premium, Sports, Aluminum Trim, 6MT, Aluminum Pedals
Mods already installed - M-Aerodynamic Kit, Blackline Taillights, E46 ZHP Knob
Mods that will get installed - 19" BMW Performance Wheels, Front Carbon Splitters Kit, Aluminum Footwell, M-sport perforated steering wheel, Euro Fog-light switch, M-sport perforated handbrake

FYI, I'm not doing aftermarket mods because I want to protect warranty.

Might consider: Dinan free-flow exhaust, but it's pricey and so far the general feel of Dinan parts around the forums have been rather mediocre, so I'm contemplating.

I am very anxious to see the pictures of the performance wheels. I am ready to pull the trigger on either the 269 performance wheel or the M225's. I am having a hard time figuring out what the difference is as they seem very similar.

There are a couple of people already running the BMW Performance 19's. Here are some pics of them on my E90.

The 225's are 19s. I believe the performance wheel is available in 18 and 19.

This is actually not my car, but I liked the color and the 225's on it. This picture of the car I believe is from England.

I had been debating between the M225's and the performance wheels. I have gone ahead and ordered the performance wheels. I expect to get them this week. I also ordered the PS2s from Costco. I will post some pictures in a couple of weeks when it is all installed. Question since the rear offset is et39 is a 12mm spacer the right way to go? Also it doesn't sound like I need to worry about any spacers for the front.

Thanks

Yeap, using spacers on the rear is a good idea with these wheels. You might even be able to get away with 15mm. I know a couple of people are running the ET22 CSL replicas on stock ZSP suspension. Here's a pic without spacers and on stock ZSP suspension. Let me know the results of your setup; I might be doing the same soon.

Would you mind posting some more pix as I'm also interested in getting those BMW Performance wheels. Also, is your car still on the stock sport suspension with no spacers or have you changed that already? Lastly, what tires do you actually have on the wheels? Are you stll using run-flats and if so what brand did you buy?

Your car looks sik!

Thanks. I'm still running on stock ZSP setup with no spacers. I'd like to go for a slight drop with H&R sports or even get a nice set of coil-overs. Problem is that I don't want to cause my front bumper and splitters to rub. Carbon fiber splitters aren't cheap. I'm probably going to start by just adding 12 mm or 15 mm rear spacers.

I couldn't be happier with the wheels. I bought the wheel/tire package and therefore I'm running Bridgestone RFTs; RE050A is the model I believe. They're definitely not the best tires (ride is a bit harsh, they can be noisy over heavily cracked roads, and wet traction is just above average). However, I rarely track my car and need the convenience provided by RFTs. I experienced two flat tires with my stock 18" RFTs and loved the convenience of being able to drive to my tire shop.

Here's a link to a picture thread I started last week:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=97075

Below are some different pics for your immediate viewing pleasure. I couldn't be happier with the wheels.

Love those pictures. The Terra with Black looks great. I installed my performance wheels this past weekend along with the blacklines. I hope to have pictures up this week. I love the wheels, very pleased.

I had oem 19" 230's on my car(same offsets) with 15mm spacers and they never rubbed and looked awesome.I do think that 12mm spacers would be perfect.

+1, I would only rock them if they came with the car. I would NEVER pay full retail for STOCK rims. You can get way better, nicer looking, and lighter wheels for that kind of money. Oh with tires. LOL
