Venturis...fix for exhaust droning

I currently own a Borla exhaust including second cat delete.

Borla is sending me for free a set of venturi that will apparently kill the drone...........any opinions ???

Any power loss ???? experiences are welcome

Can you elaborate? Is a venturis like a silencer for exhausts?

As stated by the Borla rep : The venturis get tack welded into place at the pipe opening to the muffler. You would take the clamps off the muffler where it connects to the mid pipe. remove it and insert the venturis into each inlet pipe. Then you would have them welded into place. Then put it back together.

I just this venturis in the mail

Just got the apparently fix for droning......seems better that actually putting cats back....

I let you guys know how it ends

As per explanation how it works...."A common complaint with free flow straight pipe exhausts is exhaust resonation noise. In fact, many people have it but don't acknowledge it because they think it's just loud and actually like it. Resonation differs from loudness because it has a certain boominess, rattling, buzzing, or hollow vibration sounds at certain RPM. There are many possible causes, but some ways to get rid of it are installing a venturi along with a resonator at strategic positions along the exhaust, controlling flutter of the exhaust by smoothing out sharp corners in the exhaust or downpipe, or slowing the exhaust velocity by restoring the catalytic converter (contrary to performance increases but it will make the car better for daily driving)."
