Yes, BMW's are not stolen as often as say a Honda Civic/Accord.

I got quotes for a number of cars, all per 6 months, all 2006 except for the A6 near the end:

A4 2.0T - $504
IS350 - $638
G35x - $557
330xi - $536
325xi - $495
525xi - $553
330i - $536
C280 - $500
Acura TSX - $482
Acura TL - $528
Durango - $515
'04 A6 2.7T - $497
M3 Coupe - $678
650 - $689

The two surprises (to me) in the list were how expensive the Lexus was to ensure compared to the price of the car, while how relatively cheap the 6-series was... My insurance company said that the biggest factor in insurance rates is becoming medical expenses, which is why SUVs even though their mass may make them safer, actually are getting billed for the extra damage they cause to others in accidents (bout time!)

In Germany they do 12month terms for auto insurance. Going with a German company it comes out to only $130 US per month for me. Which Im guessing would be much more if I told a US company that I have the autobahn 5mins away.

32, married, and i have discounts for 10-years accident free (state farm doesn't count ones that were someone else's fault) as well as insuring my house, 2 cars, and 2 motorcycles through them.

I think my discounts add up to like 40% off since I've been with them for 16 years. My intrepid is like $400/year for just liability.

Edit: yes, I pay almost the value of my car in liability insurance every year.

state farm, those are my premiums... there are no "fees" or other things I'm aware of.

I'll show to an e90 meetup *AFTER* I actually buy one. For now i'm in phase-0 or pre-0 or whatever it is called. =P

$2100 per year for me, plus being 20 and having testoterone is bad thing from the insurance company's perspective. I think its a great deal considering my Integra was ~$2900.

I just got my quote for my forthcoming 330i/ZSP. All quotes I received were for 50/100/50 coverage, 500/500 deductibles, rental relief, uninsured motorist, etc. for Cook County IL (not so cheap). I'm 45, divorced, no accidents, no tickets.

Farmers (current policy):
$81/month
$972/year
Note: Includes discount for having homeowner policy with them.

American Family:
$82/month
$984/year
Note: Reflects discount for homeowner policy

Allstate:
$85/month
$1017/year
Note: Reflects discount for homeonwer policy

Liberty Mutual:
$125/month
$1499/month
Note: No mention of discount for additional policies held

I think I'll stick with Farmers...

I miss cheap insurance! I pay $3500/year and I am 31 no tickets. Italy is not cheap. I guess they feel the americans cause most of the accidents But not having to pay federal or state tax makes me feel better

Very similar rate to mine. What deductible/coverage do you have?

Hey gos, I'm replacing my '93 Intrepid with a 330 also! That's gonna be one heck of a change but I guess we'll just have to get used to it.

How did you get such a great rate from State Farm? I am 29, clean record, and also live in So. Cal. They gave me almost twice that, even with my home discount. That's why I'm switching to Mercury. About $880/yr after home discount, and cheaper home policy with more coverage too! But who is your agent? Why did you get offered such a better rate than me? (I am single, but I doubt that has that much to do with it.)
