Would be a good thing to do ahead of cams anyway. I keep pestering ATI for the Super Damper they're working on and maybe it'll show up eventually so the blueprinting and balancing won't be as critical. Getting the headers coated and wrapped will pick up some horsepower as well. So will a race exhaust but it's expensive. And eventually if you do get to the blueprint and balance process custom pistons for a higher compression ratio will let you burn 100 octane for more power and the bottom end work will allow another increase in redline. Really gotta be on a solid drivelne by then though, imo.
Do you have the stainless valves? Ill PM you

So guess who just got pulled over for driving in sport mode... under 40 mph

(no ticket) ahah I told him... well officer I wanted to hear my exhaust.. I wasn't going to lie haha

I don't have them, the builder would supply them. I think VAC carries some. I don't know if they should be hollow stem or sodium filled, honestly.

Very briefly, Hamann had a 3.2 stroker kit for the N52. Currently Noelle Motors in Europe also has this option for mucho dinero. The results were on par/better than the S54.

And you can get a race prepped S54 for not a whole lot more.

I don't know I never got one. I have to get around to it...underpowered? Have you cleaned the MAF? Do you have your secondaries? I'm on mobile I can't tell

My MAF is clean when i redid my stock intake. I even bought MAF cleaner but didn't use it. (charcoal delete with a spectre cone intake). I also have cyba scoops, rev silicone intake tube, and AFE mid pipes with a muffler delete. With all that i dynoed 176.8whp. Before i did my intake i couldn't keep up with my buddies stock 325i. After my intake i creep on him now.

3 stage?

Im actually off the secondary cat delete bandwagon now. It makes sense...AWD robs HP.. all that stuff you have aren't really going to give you a significant increase. The gains to be had are in the 3 stage and headers with an exhaust, But muffler delete with no cats may not be all that efficient I really don't know.

edit I saw you were from Cali? ah, so you do have the 3 stage..... hmmm... @theaxiom any ideas?

I would say its XI and heavy wheels...mixed with that exhaust but maybe not

Just my charcoal delete intake. But now i do have 3 stage and AA tune. It definitely feels a lot quicker now especially in 1st and 2nd gear but i don't know how much it gave me. I was thinking that too. Invest in the BMW PE or just get headers now and get the PE later.

He didn't dyno with a tune, and was slapping on parts that probably caused all sorts of timing and A/f changes that could not be corrected on the stock tune.

Depending on mileage, it might be time to take a look at the vanos solenoids too.

Everything had time to adapt to the stock tune though prior to my initial tune. I just feel that my initial dyno is a little low. I was going to go get my dyno today but the shop had a full schedule. Im at 114,xxx now. I might take a look into that.

Clean them, look at the Valvetronic senor and clean that with contact cleaner, inflate tires, clean the filter (don't over oil) and you should be golden.

Every dyno reads different, you're looking for gains. Now that you have a tune, you should see a different curve compared to stock.
