Anyone running aftermarket wheels with standard M sport suspension?

I've been looking round and decided that I wouldn't mind a set of aftermarket wheels for the car.

Looking for the same size as currently on the car and going to keep the standard ones as winter wheels.

Just curious as to whether the car will look right or not on the standard suspension as I dont want to mess about with that.

Looking at VMR 710's at the moment so if anyone has a set of them fitted with standard M tech kit a pic would be fantastic.

Thanks all

Looking at sticking with 18's so the ride doesn't get crashy.

Car is a sapphire black e90 and considering black wheels too

imo black 18" would look small

ive gone from 18" to 19" with normal tyre's now and the ride's better than on 18's with runflat's

I thought you had to use RFT on the E90's as the suspension was set up for them and the tpms system would throw up an error?

If not then id happily look at 19's and lose the RFT's

loads of people on here have ditched the runflats and by upgrading the the wheel size the profile is smaller anyway

there's a picture of a black e90 on the main page with some matt black csl's while there's nothing bad about them they just look smaller than the sliver Mv3's

also a while back there where some gloss black Mv3's with with a red pinstripe that did not look to well

I'm running 19" CSL reps and they look fine on stock suspension.

Ride is better than it was on stock 18s with runflats

Style 166 9,5 19's front running 255 35's rear with 8.5 19's 225 35's front. the stock suspension gives a great ride, firm but not rough, My mates 120i on standard gear with run flats is hard as hell, he loves my ride .

hi mate,

im running this setup on my E92, 19" Vmr's and the ride is not too bumpy. Also it sits pretty well on the standard suspension. I will prob end up dropping mine a touch but thats only because i dont like the front end gap but its not massive.

Ill post some pics up tomorrow if it helps.

Have a gander in my garage pics. I've got 19" csl reps on my standard msport touring. I wondered about how the car would look on 19's but its fine....wouldn't go any lower.

19" BBS CH's in staggered M3 fitment with 10mm spacers all around and non-RFT tyres.

Standard M Sport suspension.

It works well / no problems.

Less bumpy than the 18s were with RFTs as the RFT's are so terrible...

Mega what's the offset of your wheels? I went down the csl route et38 front and et35 at the rear. Was happy with it at first but kinda thinking of fitting 10mm spacers for a more aggressive look.

That is perfect, exactly what I needed to see!

What offset & tyre sizes are you running on that if you don't mind me asking?
