The ramps (4000 lb version) were wide enough for the wheels - just barely. The tires were not hanging off the sides. I have a 325i with 17 inch sport package wheels which are the same width as the 330i 18 inch sport package wheels - 225/45/17 F, 255/40/17 R versus 225/40/18 F, 255/35/18 R. The 8000 lb version of Rhino Ramps are slightly wider (~10 mm), so you might want to try them if you're concerned. They are about $10 more than the 4000 lb version which are about $25. |

Oil Comsumption
Has anyone experienced any oil consumption during the break in period? How often should I be checking my oil level, and will I need to top it off?

Wow. Excellent write-up.
I have question about the Oil filter and the O-ring it comes with though. How do you exactly "assemble" it? anyone have details about this? or should I not worry about it, just get the filter and i'll be able to find out how its done?

Hey All, great writeup. I just changed my oil at 1390 miles. One thing that I noticed though is that my bolt for the oil is flat and parrallel with the ground. The picture here shows the bolt is at an angle almost perpendicular to the ground. Anyone else notice this? I should have taken a picture but didn't have a camera around. Anyone else have the bolt flat?
Also I think the other mystery bolt is for the transmission fluid.

Great writeup!
I've always wondered: How do DIY oil-changing folks discard the used oil?

Hey e90wraith, that's my Bolt was _ along with the other bolt _. That's what I was saying, my bolt and holder are slightly differeny than the picts you took, both of mine are parrallel.
