lol, in the word asian there are A's.

A's referring to the letter grade A = 90-100% = what asian parents want to see

Asian's without A's equal Sin, it's a "sin" to not have A's in life/report card/letter grades/etc as an Asian.

it's all just silly connections and just a stupid meme, not 100% true for asian parents, but fairly true. (most americanized asian parents dont give a rats@$$)

actually my parents are very far from the Asian stereotype, I was never forced to study, never forced to learn an instrument etc.. needless to say I ditched classes in high school and didn't end up with the best gpa, somehow I magically got into UCSD and then reality hit me and u studied my butt off in college and graduated cum laude, a lot of my friends who had the crazy Asian parents did do great in high school when their parents were around, but once college started, they partied and smoked all day and some even got kicked out due to low grades.

as for my position now, my family has connections in the bay area to get me into a pretty good position to be making $, but i'm going to grad school mainly for myself, my parents are not against it but they told me that if I just wanted to make more $$ there are easier ways than grad school.

and that's the story of my life lol
