E90 prices plummeting

Wow did a search on Autotrader - even the 2011a are getting rediculously cheap

I paid 30k for my 2011 in 2015 with 9k miles- which was going ratefor a low mileage certified 335. They were pretty healthy this summer too, was offered 28k- but looking at prices now, wow look like mid 20s tops for a low mileage n55 335

I actually found a 2008 E93 335i convertible in very good shape for only $12K with 97K miles, but it was Auto while I'm looking for a stick.
It's just that it's still a risk buying such high mileage BMW, one can easily get a lemon with both turbos, HPFP and water pump due for replacement that can easily run north of $6K just for starters and then you'll still have a lot of other maintenance $$$ to be done. That and the fact that you never know if previous owner had it heavily modded and tracked that poor 335 to the death bed. This is the only thing that scares me while buying 335

Lol. My 2008 e93 335i has 240k. And mine is heavily modded. 700hp. I haven't tracked it but it runs fine. These cars are built to take it, and theyre just broken in at 100k. Its not a chevy.

Yup pretty close to it. picked up my 07 E92 6MT, 90k miles for $11,500. Had a good amount of mods, previous owner was meticulous and kept up with maintenance. I already know when modding cars, you gotta pay to play, so people's horror stories don't shy me away from platforms. you often hear the bad stories, but not so often hear the good ones. I don't skip out or cheap out on maintenance so I've been fortunate enough not to have anything horrible happen to my cars, **knock on wood

I recently saw a 07 E92 6MT just like mine but in silver. 85k, $8500. I cried a little, to be honest.

Yes the equation is a bit tough to swallow. I lurked on the forum for two years before I found the perfect car for sale in Dallas. It was a 2009 (bought 2/2013) loaded E90 Msport, beautiful car, 48K, for $26,500 which was an incredible deal. I spent $3,800 on the warranty and another $1,200 in tax. Here 47 months later with 109K it's probably worth around $10,000, coming out to $460 a month.

Makes going to lease a brand new one with maintenance plan and full warranty seem much more worth it.

I plan to keep mine for a long time and eventually it will become my second car so I can buy nice two year old cars and keep them at lower mileage, which will help the financial equation out, but for now it's a bit tough.

Best i can do. This was during testing at 21psi. Its 28psi with a 30 psi spike. This was right at 590hp. Another 15 hp per psi is standard guess. You do the math. Gonna get a new dyno pull in February. This one was August and it was 102F out. See what kind of numbers I can make then.

I would gladly buy some modded 335 E9X because i know mods cost money and usually people who mod do not skip on maintenance as well. Unfortunately everyone strips their cars before selling. They basically make $2-3K on a side, but irony is that I would have gladly paid that money on top of selling price if they can just keep mods, because it will cost me double money to mod it again (not to mention nerves and countless hours and days spent researching, hunting, buying, installing all the mods) Why, oh why life is not fair?

how much have you spent in terms of maintenance? I've driven a sweet manual 335i m sport with about 145,000KM on it and the engine ran well, but the motor didnt sound very healthy.. the sound didnt go away even after we warmed it up and ripped it a couple times.

AFAIK suction mounts are important, so it's better to have OEM lol to not loose it during drive. Also, wind protective case is a nice add-on for gopro otherwise videos going to be pain to listen

I think all BMWs take a dip in value when the warranty runs out, and I also think there are too many F30s out there, so the E90s suffer. The F30, especially the four, is a lot faster and more fuel efficient than the E90s with the N51 and N52, but it is bigger car and that steering is terrible, but my wife likes it better than the E90.

Agreed, BUT, is it a bad value when your buying for <15k??? If I buy for $14 and put $6 into it, still seems like a LOT of car for $20k.

Thats how I look at it. Where else can you find a beautiful car like a 335i e93 with 700 hp that out accelerates an M5 and outhandles an M4 for under $25? What can you get? A base mustang vert instead? Would you rather be driving that?

It's true....that's why I still own mine.
It's paid for and if you buy anything comparable it's about 55k.
