How do you get contacts/phone book to upload?
from a Palm Treo Centro phone? The bluetooth connection happens. It's a BMW approved phone. But none of my contacts go into my Idrive...

It is supposed to happen automatically - no user's action is needed. Try resetting both the phone and the car's system, then re-pair. If this does not help, complain to the dealer if the phone indeed is approved by BMW.
Mine is not on the list (T-Mobile MDA, a.k.a. Qtek 9100), but all BT-related features work flawlessly on it, including the phone book upload. The voice quality is also superb with no echo. |

I had the same problem with my blackberry. I solved it by only sending the phone numbers I need to the car by creating a group. I have about 1000 contacts, and it seemed that whenever there were any stray characters, like "-" or "@" the upload would bomb. Once I cleaned all of those out, it worked as advertised. I hope that helps.

Treo 800W
I recently bought a 2008 335i Conv. and had trouble getting the contacts from my Treo 800w to load. I downloaded Jetware to my Treo and they uploaded easily to the iDrive. I'm hoping the signal strength is also improved by this, as the Jetware site says it will be.
