Ding -- Rear Bumper Cover on 08 328i

I hit a street light pole when reversing and i have a ding/dent now on my Rear Bumper - Did anyone try PDR(Paintless Dent Repair) or replacing the bumper cover is the only option (Ouch - $1k as quoted by a Body Shop).

I will need to pick up the tab on this one; Did not call up my insurance.

Ouch - any PDR isn't going to get this 100% as it is plastic and has a crease (not to mention a paint chip) but I'd ask in the regional forum about a good PDR place and ask them.
