2007 E92, 45,000 miles 10,000 Tuned ,2 Fuel pumps, Transmission pan and mechatronic sleeve. 2 turbos replaced and actuators. Serpentine Belt and Crank pulley. All under warranty. Its been fun and I am going to keep it for ever. BTW I have the extended warranty because the guy who owned the car before me paid for it. Thanks Scottie

Im at ~59,900 not tuned at all. Bought it 6 months ago with 44k on it
No major problems, no HPFP failure *knock on wood*, just had a vanos solenoid replaced last month at my request.

Cool info, but can we see what, if any, issues people have had? This would make this thread a little more useful. There's been a few that have posted which is cool.
It'd be interesting to actually see how these motors are holding up as no one necessarily posts "Hey, my HPFP is fine!" or "No wastegate rattle here!" That being said... 2007 335i: Bought new 5/27/2007. Completely stock. 72K miles on it. Driven mild during the week (short commute). Driven comparatively harder on the weekends to let it open up and breathe more. Been driven at one autox and a couple of passes at the drag strip. Issues: Replaced turbos at around 40K miles on 1/09 for wastegate rattle. Replaced throw out bearing at 20K because of rattling. That's it.

Damn, I guess I need to drive my car more.
I have a 2008 E90 335i and I just went past the 15K mark. Stock software but now I have AR Design Catless DPs and AE Performance catless exhaust. One HPFP at 10K miles and the current one is getting ready to die again. Otherwise, knock on wood, I've not had any wastegate problems. |

11/06 build E92 335i
49,500 Miles, tuned for 40,000 Miles Replaces: ALL Vanos components (solenoids, pulse wheel and both actuators) Both Turbos (wastegate rattle) Intake Camshaft Camshaft ledge various belts and pulleys 1 o2 sensor 6 injectors 1HPFP (2nd one is about to go I think) Warranty is almost up and I am getting a big scared, but I am hoping since all the above were replaced with updated part numbers I should be good to go. |
