I was able to activate BFD with my FRM2 module, I did the coding in NCS but also added the BFD option in my FA. Check post #82, there's all I did to get this working

i was able to finaly find out how to make the rear fog lights blink fast like the one on this video showing here:

the values you need to change on your daten file are the following:

PARZUWEISUNG_FSW : {0000340F} 00000009 0001 06B5 {} (0F) {h} {} // BFD_2_BLINK_FREQ_AUS
PARZUWEISUNG_PSW1 : 0007 (01) // wert_01
PARZUWEISUNG_FSW : {0000340F} 00000009 0001 06B6 {} (F0) {h} {} // BFD_2_BLINK_FREQ_EIN

so pretty much BFD_2_BLINK_FREQ_EIN and BFD_2_BLINK_FREQ_AUS

change the value on this 2 to 01

flashing frequency:

00=3hz
01=5hz

oh and also you need to set some values to nicht_aktiv and wert 03

below im posting a copy of my trc file and also of my dissambled FRMFA.C21 daten file

NOTE: I WAS ABLE TO ENABLE THIS ON FRM MODULE ON A 2007 BMW 335I E92

Would you please post a video of your lights set to 5 Hz? Surprised to hear it works for non-LCI tail lights (not LED).

So after 6 pages of doing this or that, & conflicting info to get them to work - can we get a summation of exactly what is required to do for NFRM2 cars to get this to work all in one post?

If we could get all the specific coding line changes + Daten changes for blink speed + whether or not the need to add $5AB into VO all in one place for each option:
  • Flashing 3rd Brake Light Only
  • Flashing 3rd Brake Light + Flashing Rear Fogs

It sure would be helpful

bfd

this should work for frm2

BFD2_AKTIV : set to aktiv

now choose whatever you want to enable as brake force dispay

BFD2_BL_M - BRAKE FORCE DISPLAY WITH THIRD BRAKE LIGHT
BFD2_NSL - BRAKE FORCE DISPLAY WITH REAR FOG LIGHTS
BFD2_BL - BRAKE FORCE DISPLAY WITH BRAKE LIGHTS

so whatever you want to blink set them to :
blinkend = blinking

now for the binking freqquency if you want them to blink fast or slow

set this value to whatever blinking frequency you want

BFD2_BLINKEN - BRAKE FORCE DISPLAY FLASHING
3Herts(slow) = 3_hz
5Hertz(fast)=5_hz

Most excellent - Thanx!

I will give it a shot during my next coding opportunity

Does this make your headlights flash too, or is that just an artifact of filming?

Also, I'd still be interested in a single post that succinctly sums up everything in this thread. Post #122 is good, but as far as I can tell it's missing the daten modification step/s. Or is daten modification not required for NFRM2?

thanks for this info. i was eager to have this done. I tried doing it according to your instruction as above; but it does not work...

i speeded up more than 5m/s with ABS activated and braked but unable to get any difference from original brake light. Anything needs to be changed apart from ones described here?
