JB4 question..BMW computer cannot communicate?

After installing the JB4 on my 07 335xi, it seems as if the BMW diagnostic computer cannot communicate with the car. Do I need to change the map that the JB4 is on to allow BMW to communicate with my vehicle? I am starting to hear the dreaded wastegate rattle, and the car is still under warranty..just want to be sure BMW can communicate with the vehicle before I bring it in. Thanks!

If they DO replace the turbos, chances are they will reset the ECU though..won't the JB4 come in the way here?

if you're bringing it in (or brought it in) take the JB4 out! Unless one of the techs or Service manager is a family member I would not leave the JB4 attached.

Map 0 should be fine for plugging in a diagnostic computer. My Autologic cannot read a JB4 car unless it is in Map 0 with the engine running or not. With a Procede, I can read it in any map as long as the engine is not running. Once it is running, it has to be in Map 0.

Thanks for the advice, guys. I have heard the rattle occasionally when letting off the accelerator. After watching videos of the wastegate rattle, it sounds like it. The car has 78K miles on it, so I am hoping to bring it in and have it warrantied before the mileage runs out!
