On the E60, if the Sports Automatic is equipped, DZM_DISP_RPM (00300303, mask 10) is set to 01 (00 otherwise). DZM_DAEMPFUNG (00300303, mask 20) is set to 00 (01 otherwise).

On the E9x, the address for DZM_DISP_RPM is 00300507, mask 04; it is set to 01 by default if you have DCT or a N54/N55 with an automatic (amongst other things). I can't find the equivalent of DZM_DAEMPFUNG.

I wasn't able to locate this coding in U.S. 335xi to change the needle dampening speed.

So what is the result of the following on your KOMBI?

Start Tool32, press F3 and select KOMB87.

Choose the job Codierdaten_lesen and use 0x3103 as argument.

???

Also, paste your custom nettodat here...

Just got the xHP tune for my gearbox and wanted to try this as well since the needle is quite slow. This is what Tool32 returned:

Code:
apiJob("KOMB87","codierdaten_lesen","0x3103","")

Satz : 0
  OBJECT                          = komb87
  SAETZE                          = 1
  JOBNAME                         = codierdaten_lesen
  VARIANTE                        = KOMB87
  JOBSTATUS                       =
  UBATTCURRENT                    = -1
  UBATTHISTORY                    = -1
  IGNITIONCURRENT                 = -1
  IGNITIONHISTORY                 = -1
Satz : 1
  JOB_STATUS                      = OKAY
  CODIERDATENBLOCK                = 23 Bytes
    0000 : 16 33 00 33 00 DE 07 9D   0D 5D 13 48 15 00 00 97  .3.3..  .].H...?
    0010 : 06 8A 0B 7C 10 22 12                               .?.|.".
  _TEL_ANTWORT                    = 30 Bytes

Something must be off since the needle dampening already is set to 0... Am I interpreting the data correct?

Also, the code suggest minimum and maximum values of "33" which can't be right...

As mentioned before on the XHP facebook page, it looks like the dampening for 135i cluster is different than 335i clusters. so I guess dampening limit/speed should be different for different clusters.
