Getting my AE upgraded from OneEighty
I am getting my AE light upgraded as I saw it at the Ceasar's Bay meet and these things are the best upgrades that I have seen so far...Much more superior to OSS AE...The rings are complete circle and not cut off at the top like most AE upgrades. I am not a lighting guy but when I saw them I was very impressed with the work, and I really dont let anyone touch my car either....My dilemna is that I want to ask is.... what you guys think of color matching the inside to montego bay or go with gloss black like this pic...what do you think....go montego color match or shiny black finish..

Steve is go matte black. I didn't like how the rings reflected off the gloss black.

Also should be noted 180 doesn't warranty anything and I've read a lot of stuff on other forums about condensation and non existent help or support after initial install. My recommendation is Lightmodz in NJ. 5 minutes outside of NYC for that reason. Jay stands by his work indefinitely. |

There's one from a quick search. Simple search will turn up more. They are mostly on the infiniti forums I think however cause that's where the two kids started doing the work originally. I'm not starting a flame war by any means I was just stating there are other options locally with warranty and to be aware of the risks associated. I was in the same boat while looking for mine. Was either 180, OSS or Lightmodz. Lightmodz won by land slide due to the quality of work that was guaranteed and the warranty. Link is bimboost forum* |

no warranty?
may as well open the lenses yourself and do it. the whole point of paying someone else is for a warranty. the work itself is fairly simple unless they custom make their own rings out of individual LEDs by hand. jeeze... charge out the ass for headlight mods and have no liability? sounds like a great business to me. |
