Changed all drive fluids
Imported a 2006 330 xiT 6MT from Germany this summer. Car had 124K kms [bit over 77K miles]. Redline 75W80 in both diffs. Redline MT LV in transfer case and transmission. C$446 [about US$350].
I'm really old, it's quite cold here now and I do not have any lift. Plus, I'll likely never have to do it again. Shortly after picking up the car off the boat, I had to drive home, 900 miles. Car ran like a dream. Passed our strict safety inspection shortly after arriving home. Gotta love those N52s. |

Don't give up just yet, you have to get back out there to flush your brake lines and PS fluid
How much did the import cost you? Have you used Redline fluid in the transfer case before? I've heard people having bad issues. |

Car had a major service every 2 years at dealer and I suspect brake fluid was changed then. Yes, I should do PS fluid in the spring when it warms up.
The car, buying services in Germany, RoRo shipment to Halifax was about US$13,000. RoRo is roll on, roll off, ie: the car is driven on and off the ship. Have never used Redline in transfer case before; I'll check a few sources [incl Mike Miller] and change it in spring if necessary. |

Yeah, double check. From what I researched, genuine BMW transfer case fluid should only be used, but let me know what you find out.
$13,000 for purchase and shipment?! What website and shipment service did you use? I'd love to get my hands on one of the e90 tourings some day. |

The car I imported was 16 years old. For USA cars must be 25 yrs old.
