Quick question about sub pre-outs
Just a quick one here, I have the Eonon head unit and it has 2 RCA sub outputs labelled Sub 1 and Sub 2, each consists of 1 RCA plug.
Does anyone know if I should take the first sub out and split it to plug into the 2 inputs on the amp, or plug both sub outs, each into an RCA input on the amp? Or will it effectively make no difference? I kind of suspected the 2 sub outputs would just be 'split' inside the head unit rather than being 2 different channels. Thanks |

Since bass is relatively omnidirectional, you should be able to use a RCA y-splitter cable to divide the signal from the Sub 1 output to a L/R input for your amp.
Honestly it may just be a case of bad translating and Sub 1 is L output and Sub 2 is R output, in that case just run the RCA cables from your amp to the HU, and connect S1 to L, and S2 to R, and you're good to go. If there isn't a separate level adjustment for Sub 1 vs Sub 2 in the audio settings, I'm willing to bet it's just a bad translation or something along those lines. Good luck brother! |

Thanks dude! That's how I've wired it up, sub 1 and 2 to the left and right inputs on the amp. I have it set to mono on my line driver anyway so doesn't matter which way round they go.
