is this a good idea to take my new e92(1300 miles on it so far) to driver's education/track day?

should i wait until it hits more miles on it like... 5000 or 10,000 miles?

You'll probably get a lot of different opinions on this, but I waited until after I got my first oil change (which I did at 2,000 miles). Given the possibility of metal filings, etc. in the factory oil and filter, I didn't want to race the engine on it. Note that if you replace the oil yourself, be sure to use oil with the appropriate BMW certification (which is LL01 I think).

Yes, there are certainly a lot of different opinions on this. Personally, I think you should go for it. Be sure the engine oil is warmed up to its normal operating temperature and then go for it

When I got my second Audi S4..I took it to Laguna with only 900 miles on the odometer. I would say 1000 miles and you should be ok.

Since you're engine is broken in, I'd just do an oil change and go for it.
