Installing angel eye bulbs - pre LCI e90
Hello everyone
My DIY skills are really basic and was just wondering how easy is it to replace the angel eye bulbs on a pre lci e90? I heard you have to take the wheels off however some have said they have replaced the bulbs by just turning the wheels all the way out. Please let me know if this is a simple diy job or shall I just go to the mechanics? Cheers |

No way to do it without removing the wheels. It's honestly not very hard at all. I've hade to install and remove my bulbs about 5 times now so I'm pretty familiar with the DIY. You don't need special tools. Just a jack, 17 mm socket, tourque wrench or tire iron, 10 mm socket and 8 mm socket. The install is pretty straight forward.

Actually, it is possible to do it without removing your wheels. If you are doing left side, turn your wheels all the way to the left, vice versa. I would say its a simple job, no wheel removal/jack up your car. 10mm and 8mm torque wrench -> remove under wheel cover -> plug and replace the angel eye bulb located below your headlights. Voila.

While it is indeed possible to do it without wheel removal, it is MUCH easier without the wheels. Without the wheels you can see better and will not need to contort your arms.

Great thanks for all your help guys! Appreciate it..
Will be installing my leds later on in the evening. Before I install them just wanted to know if I have to fit the old bracket which comes from the stock bulbs to the new leds (Cree leds from Horizon Leds)? As Shown here (5.59) : |
