Amber Reflector Delete DIY?

Hi I've search around for this but didn't come up with much. The amber reflector is hideous and i want to remove it. Seems like lots of members have come up with a solution to this but I couldn't find any good write ups.
Is the best way to get inside the headlight is to cut it open then epoxy it back together? I saw one DIY prying it open with a heat gun but that looked painful and from the other stuff I read these headlights don't bake like others

I did find those carbon fiber overlays which look sick but it didn't talk about the install.

Overlay is definitely the easiest. You just stick them on. They're cut to shape.
