What do you mean? For track, exhausts can only be as loud as 92db, which is pretty loud, which I don't think the M3 has any problem with! what do you mean by how long? LOL!

Freudian slip. I have always posited that exhausts are akin to penises.

Well thank you brother, what color it it? Just found out that the Viper will come it at 99k for Canada too! That's great news. I can't wait till the 2014 Corvette is unveiled, so we can compare the C7 ZR1 to the Viper, in price and performance. Currently the ZR1 is north of $120k

Not that I have 100 grand lying around, I'll just need to buy me some lotto tickets

Unless you modded it further, Chris never had an issue with sound level at track events

And anyway, more exhaust noise adds absolutely nothing to power. Nor do longer tips.

Ya I want to put a catless x-pipe. If niqui passed, I think it shouldn't be a problem cuz he's catless with aftermarket exhaust! Lol

Wouldn't do it if I were you! Niqui did not track much so can't say for sure if he did track with the catless xpipe or not, but Anthony did have the xpipe and he was beyond the sound limit. Didn't Chris have aftermarket exhaust too?

Bigger sound tricks you into thinking you are going faster than you actually are But you do get more power, just not noticeable by the butt dyno.

Ah ha but need more power! Lolll jk
Ya he went over the limit cuz he had a AA exhaust with is pretty loud then added x-pipe. Ya Chris did have a aftermarket exhaust but it's not that loud, so I think putting x-pipe would be perfect sound, not too quite and not too loud.

Sigh. Gentlemen.

Exhaust gives almost no power difference. You are looking at, at best, 10hp or so, especially on an untuned NA car. If you were going straight pipe then fine, but since you aren't, it will do nothing. Now... Chris already has a Bastuck exhaust, so any additional power gain has already been collected - therefore the delta will be zero.

I am a mod whore, so I have a little bit of experience with this, but can we bury that subject once and for all? It gives TONS more noise, but Chris's car already sounds great. It doesn't need more noise. And for the $2-3K that it will cost...... you could do three track days at $300 per day, hire a hooker for $500 and rent the W Wow Suite... and ... and ... buy an iPhone. I dunno. I'm just trying to illustrate that there are better ways of wasting the $3K (oh, and I should mention save cop tickets. I just gave up fighting the one I got 2 years ago with a stupid AA exhaust and paid it).

Btw - bro, I know you want to mod this car. I guess if you got a stock one it would at least make sense. But it has been premodded (well!) for you already so I honestly don't think there is any benefit in modding it differently

But in the end, yeah. Your car, your dolla

all modding money should be directed to better your driving skills. I still have plenty to spend in that department.

I agree 100% with Tony. Your first track event should be with your car in stock trim, no mods. I started (way back) with a standard VW Golf 1.8T, with stock 15" wheels (yes, 195/65/R15 tires) and then started to add suspension mods, bigger wheels with better rubber, a chip and better brake pads. Over a few events I was quicker than many others with more potent cars.

And people, stop it with your noisy exhausts...There is a douche in my neighborhood with a white E92 M3 who just disturbs everyone.

If you really want a racecar do like jgalaxy.

And mine is actually quite quiet for a racecar. The 5 or 6 HP extra isnt worth the extra noise or the pollution. I installed a high flow race CAT.

LOL @ the hooker part, rather get lci tailights instead

I agree, no matter what exhaust i put, it will give me the same power that i have right now but im adding a CATLESS X-PIPE which Chris didnt put and it WILL add power, its NOT gonna be too loud or near as loud as Anthony's car!!...Also i'll be adding a tune and a pulley.

Yes i know the car is already modded but im NOT changing anything (maybe wheels but will have 2 sets, track and street) on it, im just adding stuff to it and if i got a stock one, i'll still put these mods on.
