Rear Mtec conversion question

So what i have compiled so far for rear mtec conversion:

P/N - Price
bumper cover
51127906501 558.92
tow hook cover
51128041134 11.39
Diffuser (older one, dont like the lci diffusers)
51127892269 84.92
Diffuser insert (little black thing between cover and diff)
51128040152 20.25
left and right inserts
51718044575 7.05
51718044576 7.05

And this is what im banging my head on the wall for:

there is apparently 3 different sets of bumper guides for these cars:
http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...29&hg=51&fg=17
http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...29&hg=51&fg=17
http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...17&hg=51&fg=95

Problem is that they all look exactly the same but have different part numbers and come from different catalogs.

now for the big question: can i get away with not buying inserts and bumper guides?

You need the guides for the mtech bumper or it won't fit. Go to your BMW dealership and give them your vin number and tell them to check what guides fit. Good luck

Yes use the vin. They got me all the right parts via VIN. Never order blind.

If you were to do LCI conversion how would VIN matter to which guide rods yu need?

you don't need the inserts, but you will have a gap under the bumper on the sides.

you don't really need guide for both side, just bend that piece from bumper and it fits fine. Bend it back if you are selling the bumper.
