Broken in that it felt about the same as my 335...but should be much faster. Cornering was a blast though.

I just had my car serviced and my light came on a month later. This time its due for microfilter.

On the bright side, it is a good excuse to view the pretty new ones in the showroom.

Just out of curiosity, how long are you guys planning on keeping your e9x? Pay it off and driver it forever? Or sell it before it gets too many miles.. that's what I'm trying to figure out. (My commute is 40 miles each way) and the wife is make me sell the commuter. Something about wasting money on 2 cars for 1 man. pshhhh

An excellent question Adam. I purchased my car to start, rather than lease. I also purchased the AUL extended warranty a few months back...so I'm covered til 100k (about 3 more years at this pace). I've had my car for about 2 yrs, 9 months...and at this point would still be behind (put 10k down). Figure if I keep it for 2 more years, I'd be about paid off, the car would still have 15-20k of warranty left, and I could probably get out of it without losing a ton...maybe. All the talk of the e9xs being junk after 100k doesn't really scare me...but may scare the used car market.

Of course then I wonder what I'd do two years from now. Would someone just tell me what makes the most sense?

Not a bad plan in my opinion. It makes sense because of how much you drive. Of course, you could be in an even better position if you took the money spent on mods and put it back into the note, but the ROI on that may not outweigh the pleasure the toys bring.

I leased, so I'm 95% sure mine is going back next May when the lease is up. Asking me what will replace it is more of a coin toss at this point.

I like a new car every few years, don't mind a payment and drive about 15k a year, so it works well for me. I only have the one car and my commute is 18 miles each way - against traffic, so I can still derive some pleasure out of a commuter that isn't #1 on the fuel economy list.
